新年あけましておめでとうございます。
皆様におかれましては、心新たに素晴らしき新年を迎えられたこととお慶び申し上げます。
私も、2009年の始まりを迎え改めて気持ちが引き締まると同時に、期待と不安で一杯の朝を迎えました。しかしながら、「私は一人ではない。36名もの会員がいるじゃないか！」と自分に言い聞かせ不安な気持ちに打ち勝っています。
『出逢い～そして絆へ～』のスローガンの下、初心に戻り会員の皆様一人一人と手を携えて青年会議所活動に邁進していく所存でございますので、何卒1年間よろしくお願い申し上げます。
また、平素より（社）鴨川青年会議所の活動に際しまして多大なるご理解とご協力を賜っております、行政をはじめといたします関係諸団体の皆様におかれましては、本年も変わらぬご理解とご協力を賜りますよう、この場をお借りいたしましてお願い申し上げます。
さて、私の2009年の幕開けは地元の氏神様（八雲神社）への初詣で始まりました。これは、毎年の恒例行事となっており、紅白歌合戦が終わる頃家を出て、年が変わる瞬間に神社の鳥居をくぐるのが私の中で「験担ぎ」となっています。帰宅後、一度布団に入り午前5時半に起床して初日の出を拝みに行くのですが、今年は皆様ご存知の通り間寛平氏がこの鴨川よりヨットにて太平洋横断に向けて出発するという一大イベントがあり会場の「海太郎」に行き（社）鴨川市観光協会主催の出展のお手伝いをしながら、初日の出を拝みました。写真は、寛平氏のヨット（エオラス号）と2009年の初日の出です。どうぞ、寛平氏におかれましては、無事にアースマラソンを走破していただき、予定の3年後とは言わず1日も早くまた元気な姿を見せて欲しいと思います。頑張れ！寛平ちゃん！
大きな夢に向かって船出した寛平ちゃんに負けないよう、私も頑張らなくては・・・
